:: Employee Benefit Websites
One of the truly great resources provided in this digital age can be found in the enormous quantity of free legal information available on the web. I have started a page on this site dedicated to recognition of professional websites that offer information on insurance and employee benefits issues.
Today, I have added several websites to the page, including a very interesting new site by Jeffrey V. Mehalic, Esq., entitled West Virginia Business Litigation. Jeff’s practice is located in Charleston, West Virginia. Jeff recently noted the new West Virginia Supreme Court case, Strahin v. Sullivan, 2007 WL 559219 (W.Va.), where the Court held that an insured’s personal assets must actually be at risk in order for an insured to recover an excess verdict.
Also added is a site published by Brian King. Brian is an experienced ERISA litigator and his site provides very current and relevant information, often from a claimant’s point of view.
The Boston ERISA and Insurance Litigation Blog published by Stephen Rosenberg contains some very interesting content including an article with the intriguing title, The Hidden Law of ERISA. Stephen’s website presents a balanced view of ERISA issues and includes current commentary as well as direction to other ERISA resources.
Qualified Pension Plan Consulting published by Suzanne L. Wynn and her Pension Protection Act Blog — PPAblog – Everything about the Pension Protection Act offer substantial technical commentary on ERISA issues. Suzanne has recently launched a Carnival of Employee Benefits which is described on the PPAblog site with recent entries.
I invite you to augment this set of references by submitting additional sites for posting on the page.
